Andrew took me on a guided climb on Holyhead Mountain on Anglesey & very quickly put a nervous never-climbed-before novice at ease & encouraged me up the rock for two successful climbs. I not only had a great day out but it’s a testament to how well Andy taught me that I caught the climbing bug & signed up with my local climbing gym when I got home. Thoroughly recommended.
BETH – SCRAMBLING INDEPENDENCE
I booked a Scrambling Independence Course with Ascent Guides to gain more confidence & to be able to do Grade 2/3 scrambles with friends. While I already had some experience, I wanted to make sure everything I’m doing is safe. Andy was very professional & supportive & I felt safe the whole day.The course was perfectly tailored to my skill level, ensuring I learned what I needed. I had a great day out!
FELIX – LEARN TO LEAD/SELF RESCUES
Thank you Andy (and his helpers) I had a brilliant time on my 2 day learn to lead (trad climbing) course, followed by a 1 day self rescue course. I highly recommended both of theses courses and especially with Andy. I went into this with very little experience and came out with the confidence to lead climb without assistance. Andy is friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic to give a personal and in depth course for those who share a passion for the outdoors. I hope to see him again and he will be my 1st point of call for any further courses.
