SELF RESCUE TECHNIQUES – AAC

In collaboration with The Austrian Alpine Club UK we are providing a self rescue climbing course in North Wales in 2026. Please fill in the form and choose one of dates suitable for you. Once we received the booking, we will send an invoice and you can make a payment via bank transfer. After payment you can apply for AAC(UK) grants directly at the Austrian Alpine Club UK.

This course equips climbers with practical techniques for problem-solving, decision-making, and executing rescues in various climbing scenarios. You’ll learn self-rescue tactics, belay escapes, rope system management, and more, building the confidence to respond effectively when unexpected situations arise. 
Previous experience: For this course you should have solid trad lead climbing experience, including familiarity with setting anchors, managing belay stances, & understanding basic rope work.

Course Cost: £233 (Grant £117; YA grant £175)
