CLIMBING COURSES – INTRO TO TRAD – AAC

In collaboration with The Austrian Alpine Club UK we are providing an Introduction to Trad Climbing course in North Wales in 2026. Please fill in the form and choose one of dates suitable for you. Once we received the booking, we will send an invoice and you can make a payment via bank transfer. After payment you can apply for AAC(UK) grants directly at the Austrian Alpine Club UK.

In this introductory course, we’ll get into the fundamentals of Trad (traditional) climbing. To help create a slick and competent partnership between you and your climbing partner. This includes the skills of ‘seconding’ a trad route – learning to efficiently follow a lead climber. Previous experience: From complete beginners, who want to get into climbing or experienced indoor/sport climbers who are looking to expand their skill set into trad climbing.

Course Cost for 2 Days (RATIO 1:2): £233 (Austrian Alpine Club Grant £115; YA grant £175)
