Ascent Guides is based in North Wales & specialises in mountaineering experiences across the UK. We offer a wide range of adventures including walking, scrambling & climbing. Hi, I’m ANdy
I started Ascent Guides in July 2024, so on the grand scheme of things pretty new. I’ve been working in the outdoors for around 15 years. Over that time I’ve been able to pick up a thing or two that I can hopefully pass on so more folk can enjoy more of the mountains, safer.
Growing up in the Fenlands in the east of England, probably the flattest places in the UK, it was no wonder that as soon as I went to the mountains i was hooked. Based in North Wales now, I still spends a lot of time up in the Highlands with Skye being one of his absolute favourite places.
Whether it’s Skiing, kayaking, or climbing I enjoy all mountain sports. My biggest achievement to date though is summiting Ama Dablam 6812m in Nepal November 2024.
